Don has over 20 years of experience in the I.T. industry in diverse settings such as manufacturing, legal, consulting, and healthcare, nationally and internationally.  He has overseen all aspects of I.T. from software development, data centers, infrastructure, SAN, and telephony, to national and international systems management, along with all technology support areas.  Don’s business experience ranges from senior leadership positions in sales and business development,  to strategic, tactical, project, and operations planning and management, ROI analysis, budgets, etc.  Don’s specialty is transforming I.T. shops from being viewed as a necessary expense to becoming integral essential business units wielding competitive weapons.  His teams have won awards for innovative use for technology and excellent communications.  He has been a speaker at numerous conferences including the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the TechLaw Conference.

Gary Epstein, most recently the chief marketing officer for the American Medical Association (AMA), has been recognized as the driving force behind the AMA's re-invigoration and re-branding efforts. During his tenure, Mr. Epstein helped revitalize the AMA's reputation with physicians and patients, while enhancing the AMA's political reputation in Washington D.C., as the leading voice for doctors in America. Prior to joining the AMA, Mr. Epstein served as one of two regional CEO's for North America as part of the French-based Euro RSCG Worldwide. As CEO, Mr. Epstein ran one of the two largest units of Euro RSCG's global holdings with over one billion dollars in advertising billings and 1200 employees located in seven offices throughout the United States and Canada. In 2000, Mr. Epstein was inducted into the American Advertising Federation's Hall of Achievement, which has recognized some of the marketing industry's most outstanding professionals. He was also named as one of Chicago's top business leaders in Crain's Business annual "40 under 40" feature in 1998. Mr. Epstein is on the board of directors of the American Medical Insurance Agency (a subsidiary company of the AMA) and on the board of directors for Snippets Mini-Cuts Children's Hair Salons.

Rich joined The Pampered Chef in 1996 as the company’s first VP, Information Services. His 13 year career there included responsibility for all areas of global information technology: applications development, data centers, technical services/support, e-commerce, ERP implementations, business analytics, and telecommunications. He led the strategic planning and building of technology infrastructures from the ground up to support a company experiencing greater than 50% annual growth. Beginning in 2005, in his new role as SVP, Information & Support Services he added the responsibility for streamlining and retooling all domestic and international call centers to develop a team focused on excellence in customer service.

Rich had an extensive technology industry background in a wide range of environments prior to his time at The Pampered Chef. In addition to valuable administrative experience providing computer services for Evanston/Skokie School District 65, he has worked with two software companies, Samna Corp. and Midwest Information Systems, Inc. During that time he was involved with some of the first Windows applications and providing industry leading imaging software for industrial and biomedical applications.

Rick Garcia is serving as the CTO for Vale Rio Doce, a Brazilian mining company, and was the former CTO of Caterpillar. He has over 27 years industry experience holding various senior leadership positions - CTO and CIO Positions, as a Corporate Employee or in Executive Management Consulting positions, Rick has lead several Data Center Transformation, IT Shared Services and IT Transformation services for Fortune 200 companies, domestic and international. He has been very successful and effective leading the strategic development of Global Shared Services Platforms, Offshore Application & Infrastructure Outsourcing, Business Process Improvement (BPI) and leading Business and IT Transformation, within various industry verticals i.e. Financial Services, Health Care, Insurance, Consumer Product Goods, Retail, Manufacturing and Telecommunications.  Rick is very strong in the areas of Strategic Planning & Enterprise Architecture, Data Center & IT Transformation, Business Operations (ISO 9001 - 20000), ERP Systems, Enterprise Architecture, Applications Development, M&A, Divestitures and Business Process Management (continuous improvement). Rick is ITIL Master certified, PMP Certified, CCIE & CISSP professional and a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Rick earned his MBA from the University of St. Francis and currently working to complete his Doctorate Degree in Organizational Leadership, building on undergraduate degrees in computer science and telecommunications.  He is fluent in Spanish and English and has spoken at regional, national and international conferences and seminars on various aspects of Data Center and IT Transformation.

Mark Cummuta is currently the CIO for JobAngels.org, a non-profit organization using Web 2.0, social media and innovative interactive technologies to link the millions of US job seekers with volunteer mentors, “Job Angels” willing to assist them in the skills and tasks in finding new employment.  Mr. Cummuta is an accomplished IT Executive with nearly 25 years of IT, business, corporate enterprise and consulting experience, after serving our country as a US Marine.  Having led a number of firms in CIO, CTO and VP of IT, Applications and Research & Development roles, successfully grown consulting divisions with full P&L authority, and built award-winning products and teams for over 10 years, he started his own successful CIO Advisory Services firm six years ago.

Mr. Cummuta has been an invited speaker on BPM (Business Process Management), Lean Six Sigma, data warehousing, program / project management and numerous other technologies and methodologies, and has been quoted in The Wall St. Journal, Crain’s Chicago Business, Aberdeen Research, and others. He writes on on-going series of articles for CIO Magazine's online resource website, CIO.com on executive job search skills and strategies.  Mr. Cummuta holds a dual MBA from Loyola University of Chicago, has completed one year of law school for Intellectual Property Protection from DePaul University, and is named on several patent applications in online multi-media collaboration tools and global logistics tracking systems.

Along with two other individuals, Pamela Terry and Laura Ramey, Anthony Huang launched the Techxans organization back in 2000.  Techxans.org has sustained the ups and downs of the Information Technology industry for the past 7 years and continues to strive and grow in size and capabilities.  In 2001, Techxans reached national and international attention for helping to launch EnronX.org which was the largest Ex-Enron contact site and was mentioned on the front page of The Wall Street Journal and CIO Magazine.  In January 2007, Techxans formed Techxans InterActive Broadcast providing Internet TV broadcasting, strategic online advisory services for Techxans Corporate Members & Sponsoring companies.  Prior to Techxans, Anthony Huang was the CEO of Rexton InterActive Consulting that led the market in providing strategic web consulting for over 100 major clients across 23 different industries. Anthony also served as the CIO for 2 healthcare ventures.  Anthony began his career with Apple Computers and Ernst & Young and was a recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1998 with The Greater Houston Partnership.  He has been a speaker at numerous conferences including InformationWeek, Gartner Group Midsize Enterprise Summit, and Red Herring Venture Forums. Anthony graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Management Information Systems and lives in Sugar Land with his wife and two children.

Pam Terry began her foray into technology in 1994 and has a proven track record in sales and marketing in data, voice, collocation, IT consulting, application development, ecommerce, and technology training.  She was most recently an Account Executive with Time Warner Telecom, a Major Accounts Consultant in the Business Division of Time Warner Cable and VP of Marketing for ERGOS Technology.  During her tenure in the industry, Pam had the pleasure of co-founding Techxans with Tony and even created the “Techxans” name.   Prior to Pam’s technology industry experience, Pam was Executive Director of the Galleria Chamber of Commerce and previously provided marketing consulting in the accounting firm industry.  Throughout her career, Pam has been involved in community and trade organizations, having obtained Accreditation in Public Relations from the Public Relations Society of America, and serving on the boards of several charitable and membership groups such as the American Organ Transplant Association and the Association of IT Professionals.  Pam is currently serving as Regional Director of Powerful Women International, a women’s empowerment membership group.  Pam brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in association management and technology to her role as Executive Director of Techxans and Tech Execs.  Originally from Brownsville, Texas, Pam has been in Houston since 1971.
